Barley and Vine isn't really right there by that Platte City water tower. But the self-proclaimed bougie brewery and wine store is nestled in the heart of historic downtown Platte City and neither beers nor the conversation disappointed in this early-March road trip. Head brewer Billy Campbell joined an elite group of guests providing his own Mystery Beers while sharing his story of going from home brewer to pro and helping to open this new space on the north end of the Kansas City metro area. What did we get out of this episode? The start of a new competition between Barley and Vine and Nigel's brewery/taproom, Transparent Brewing over who makes the best beermosas.
